The COMPANY of PLAYERS
Humble Boy
by Charlotte Jones
4th - 12th April 2008
Directed by Barry Lee

It's middle England and bumbling Cambridge scholar Felix Humble has reluctantly returned to the family home for the funeral of his father, a modest bee-keeper. It's a tricky old day at the best of times, but the combination of an emotionally bereft Felix and his self-obsessed Queen Bee mother always spells trouble. And with the appearance of mother's bit-on the-side, George Pye, his daughter (who also happens to be Felix's ex-lover) as well as a overbearing neighbour intent on keeping the peace, the worlds of the Humbles and the Pyes combust into a gloriously eccentric showcase of disasters, revelations, arguments and surprises.
